Further studies in the principles of payroll preparation including the fundamentals of employment legislation, gross pay calculations, statutory and non-statutory factors, payroll records, termination of employment and the development of computerised payroll and spreadsheet skills.
The Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Payroll for Business involves processing advanced tasks including, Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, a basic Pension Scheme, new starters and leavers and use of RTI (Real Time Information) functionality.
This qualification would be useful for those who may have some knowledge of working with accounts or figure work and have some awareness of computerised accounting packages, but perhaps no formal qualifications.
This qualification is studied on a distance learning basis and then assessed by use of on-line knowledge tests and skills assignments
